Before The Appointment
Making Your Appointment
To set up an appointment for an abortion, call Women's Health Horizons at +27 78 931 3454 , or email info@drjamesabortion.co.za, sales@drjamesabortion.co.za, spokhazip@gmail.com. We can usually schedule you within two to three days of your call. However, same day appointments are available.
We will need to know when the first day of your last menstrual period was. You are welcome to call us with any questions you may have prior to actually scheduling your appointment.
It is important to arrange your schedule to allow for a minimum of 2-3 hours in the clinic. Additional time may be required depending on the clinic status the day of your appointment. It takes time to go through all of the steps necessary to ensure that you receive the safest and most complete care before, during and after the abortion. You will also be asked not to eat or drink 4 hours before your appointment.
If you take medication on a regular basis, you may take your medication that day. It is always a good idea to wear loose fitting comfortable clothes the day of your appointment.
What to expect
Meet with a patient educator to review your medical history, abortion decision, the abortion procedure, contraception, sedation options and aftercare. Have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and have your questions answered
Confidentiality
Our staff will not discuss your appointment with anyone outside our office. You can be assured of our complete confidentiality. We will require a phone number, in case we need to change your appointment, but we will only speak directly with you.
Payment
Fees are collected before the procedure and vary according to the duration of the pregnancy. It is advisable to ask for the cost before your appointment.
We accept cash only.
We do not make financial arrangements or set up payment plans
You will receive an itemized receipt of all charges to keep for your records.
Parental consent and Notification laws
